disabling video playback #152

how to disable video playback? I just want to listen to music and not worry about my data consumption with constantly playing videos.Somebody please help.

First, compliments and thank you for building this nice stand-alone player that looks and works well.

Any update on this video issue?

I want to use my YouTube Music account more, but the stupid video playback requirement that consumes bandwidth is the Number 1 reason I keep going back to Pandora or other services. I know you can:

  1. Click Mini-Player to shrink the video to the lower right, then
  2. Click theX to collapse (hide) the video

But it seems the video stream is still happening while the video node is hidden out of view. Is there a workaround to avoid streaming the video, or is this a fundamental design / streaming issue imposed by Google/YouTube?

Thanks for any thoughts on how to resolve this?

Yeah... um i just gave up on this. Couldn't find any solution for this. I think if you have premium they give you the option to turn it off. Instead i switched back to other apps.
