Temporary files used by external filters are not removed

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Use an output format that causes gpsbabel to be invoked.
2. The input file to gpsbabel will not be removed when done.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
[If possible, include the last ~10--20 lines of verbose output.]
- Temporary files should be temporary, and removed on regular termination.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
[Did you check you're using the latest version?]
- All GeoToad versions of the last 5 years or so...
