When I try to install geotoad on Ubuntu 14.04, I get

dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of geotoad:
 geotoad depends on libopenssl-ruby; however:
  Package libopenssl-ruby is not installed.

Seems like this packet is not available anymore.

This problem has been known for some time now. It could be reproduced with
Debian Jessie, and a fix has been uploaded as r1664.
As a new release date is not planned yet, I will upload a pre-release version
to the work-in-progress area within the next days (by Dec 2, I hope) - please
test, and give feedback.

I cannot test this myself (although Debian Jessie comes close), therefore I
need some feedback as 3.22.1 and later should properly address the problem.
If there's none by Feb 28 I'll close this issue.

With a recent Jessie installation: I had to get libruby first (which is a
transitional package, depending on the versioned package libruby2.1 for me -
YMMV), but then was able to install geotoad without any complaints.

Yes, I've been running geotoad with Ruby 2.1.5 for a while now, and there seem
to be no major issues AFAICT.

Closing.
