What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. start mac osx mail app
2. sort e.g. the inbox with the latest mails at the bottom
3. change to view any other mailbox (e.g. "sent") and then back to the inbox
again
4. PROBLEM: the view has changed now to latest mail at the top, (you can change
the order by clicking on the header of the "date" column but it will always
switch back to newest mail on top when "coming" from another mailbox
5. uninstalling SIMBL eliminates the problem

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
expected: messages ordered "newest at the bottom"
instead: messages ordered "newest at the top"

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
SIMBL-0.9.9 on Mac OSX 10.6.6.

Please provide any additional information below.

This is almost impossible. More likely is that you have some SIMBL plugin
installed that you don't know about.

As you like. But certainly I don't have installed a plugin which is programed
to change the order of messages in mail. So this is an unwanted side-effect
which is eliminated by uninstalling simbl.
Up to you to decide to follow this up or not...

Run these in the Terminal and show me the output.

ls -l "~/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins"

ls -l "/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins"

There is just one plugin: megazoomer

And what happens when you remove that, but leave SIMBL installed?

You are correct. If only SIMBL is installed and not the megazoomer plugin
(which was the only one I had installed) the problem in mail does not occur. So
the problem is obviously caused by the megazoom plugin
Thanks for your help
