This course will introduce students to emerging technologies used in storytelling from Virtual Reality headsets, to 360 Video to Robots. Students will have the opportunity to learn and work with the latest VR hardware including the Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive.
Journalists Integrating Computer Science (JINCS) is an organization partnering with ONA (Online News Association), that will bring together journalism students who are interested in coding and computer science students interested in storytelling. Students with a beginning level of experience are welcome and encouraged to join. We'll have workshops on key industry-valued programming skills, talks by professionals, and career resources!
