Does anyone use the Flow OneNote plugin? or the Powertoys OneNote plug in for Run #1179

How can I help you?

I'm really sorry if I have referenced Flow or powertoys Run before. I am just pulling what little hair I have out :-). We have a new starter in our tiny org. Bright, but not a techy. She has to contend with our collective 6K of ON pages.

https://github.com/microsoft/PowerToys/issues/29348 The Flow OneNote plugin: https://github.com/Odotocodot/Flow.Launcher.Plugin.OneNote Appears to give you fast access to pages in a variety of ways.

Ask away... My actual question is, is anyone using the Powertoys or Flow tools to actually navigate OneNote? I use powertoys, but am reluctant to use Flow & the ON plug-in until I have some feedback that it is "safe" or at least they have good hygene on keeping the SW from being infiltrated and compromised.

If you have and it seems good, then I will take a look.

We are always saying to our new starter "there is going to be a page for that" and then they go hunting. We are fairly disciplined on page names, so being able to quickly get a list of page names that match a criteria or quickly search a notebook without the awful ON experience i.e. the list that you can't copy / pin without it exploding into a huge list.

Sorry, maybe that is more of a rant :-).

I am currently doing a ToC for each notebook periodically (with all pages), then copy and pasting it in to Excel all onto one worksheet, then using "filter" or "Advanced filter" to get a persistent list of pages to look at to check you have the best one and that there aren't a lot of repeated pages with very similar info.

This allows me to "copy the results to clipboard" and work through them.

THE FINE PRINT This is a hobby project that I started for myself. I'm happy to take requests and will promise to consider each one carefully but offer no guarantees that I will ultimately agree to their usefulness or have time to implement any of them. If OneNote offers a "close enough" work-around then I will probably reject the request - you've been warned!

I've been using it for a little bit now. It is a little slow to start returning results and I have had a few crashes.

I LOVE that you can change the text you have to type in for commands O * = title search O ** = recent pages. anyway, I think it is a good inspiration for keyboard warrior style command invocation that could be good for Navigation / Favourites etc.
