Slider crashes in some iOS browsers #784

Hi,

I've found that the slider crashes on iOS when you attempt to navigate to a specific slide by swiping. In addition to this, we have also found that on iPad 1 & 2 with the latest version of Chrome, any page with a slider on crashes the browser.

What version of iOS and bxSlider are you seeing this happen on?

The version of bxSlider we are using is 4.1.2 with the version of iOS for iPad1 being 5.1.1 and the version of iOS for iPad2 being 8.2

4.1.2 had some issues around touch devices and swiping or using the pagers. Can we start by trying to update bxSlider and see if that resolves anything?

I have updated the slider to 4.2.3 and the page still crashes when it has a slider on it.

I don't have access to to an iPad1 or iOS 5.1.1 atm, but in testing iPad2 on ios8.0 I haven't been able to get it to crash yet. Do you have a page I can see that you are experiencing this? I am updating my iPad2 to 8.2 to see if that makes a difference, and I will see if I can get the simulator running the old iOS version.

Can you try pulling the development branch and see if that fixes the issue. The development branch has the current 4.2.4 WIP. It is stable, I just have a few small items and documentation things to finish before I push to master.
