uiux: Shorten event URLs. #508

Taking into account 688aa0188ed4d4f576f6575dd9c59d3bf852bad9, this not only improves user experience with shorter, less verbose URLs, but it also (at the time) reduced the size of the timeline page by about 1.85 KB (~1.4%).
