SocialStream just kinda stopped working? No clue why? #47

I know this is vague and I checked the FAQ section but it just stopped working?

Is there a way to see what might cause this? I saw a new update, I did that, but no dice. The used key / URL is 100% correct, I tried the listed steps. But nothing.

Where should I look?

Thank you. Ps.: I realize how much devs hate vague reports but I really tried looking everywhere and could not come up with anything.

Sorry I'll try Discord/community support I suppose.

Hey , did you figure this out?

If you reload the extension, you'll need to reload the chat sources as well, such as Twitch pop out, etc.

When it stopped working, did you change any networking settings? VPNs ?

Did it stop for all sites or just a particular one?

Balls0fSteel commented 1 year ago

Oh sorry Steve I just closed it because I felt I should not open an issue when it might be PEBKAC.

I did not change my network at all. It stopped for all. I am not sure how I could help you help me debug it further. The whole overlay is just.. gray. Oh and if I test the sample message, that comes up but nothing else. I even disabled the Throttle thing in Flags, but no dice. It feels like Chrome is not allowed to read the messages anymore?

Chrome: Version 108.0.5359.99 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Alright, so a few services just started working, like Nimo/Trovo. But not Youtube, Twitch. So weird. Wish I could see which status is connected/which is having issues. I know the whole report is vague but I swear I haven't touched a thing besides updating to the latest version once it did not work and I saw there is a new version.

Did the same thing, YT is working now, but not Twitch. All tbs steps were taken into account and my browser is pretty much restarded without cache nor cookies.

I've fixed support for Twitch now-- they rolled out an update that broke my code.

I'll continue to test YT and Twitch and push more patches as needed.

Thank you for reporting the issues

Youtube has been working without issue for me so far, but something like BTTV / 7TV might have caused some issues while transition over as well.
