Ability to Show/Hide Labels in Scene on Director Center #954

Open chrisspiegl opened 2 years ago

Hi, I really love what is made possible with VDO.Ninja

I wonder if it would be an interesting possibility to add an option to show/hide the labels in a scene via the director center.

Sounds useful to me to be able to possibly have the names show up for a certain amount of time in the beginning of a show but then remove them later on?

Cheers, Chris

You'd want a toggle in the director's room to show and hide the labels?

Or would you want a URL / CSS parameter added so the labels fade out after a certain time once a scene / video is loaded in OBS?

It might be pretty easy for me to add a URL flag for scenes, that when a video loads, it shows the label, but then it fades out after 30-seconds or so. Would that work?

I think that the ability to show/hide in the director's room would be more powerful to give the director control about when and how long the labels should show up.

That option is a tad complex, as there isn't just one scene, but multiple possible scenes and even there.

I'll need to give it deeper thought in that case. How would this look added to the director's room?

It's something I can add to vdo.ninja/beta/mixer easily though, as the expectation is there is just one scene.

I can see how this would be complex. Maybe it's something that will just come with the mixer as it gets built out more.

I thought in the director's room it could have been something inside the settings where there is the room bitrate setting. But you are right, the whole "multiple scenes" thing is something I did not think about.

At this time, I believe it would be best to have it in the mixer.
