It's hard (on the simple courses) to get a sense for how fast the vehicle is going if the straights are long.

Create a small/simple speedometer (could just be a number printout, or a fancy dial (or both)) somewhere on the screen

vCar printed in the 'demands' HUD of issue #3.

We could add a proper 'dashboard' at the bottom (like the youtube vids of 919) to house a visual speedo, gLat/gLong, etc?
