Considering existing gradle-release plugins #38

Hello Have you considered existing release plugin(s) For example this one - is quite usable http://tellurianring.com/wiki/gradle/release Does this plugin do some other job ?

Hi, when this plugin was created (gradle 0.7?) there was no alternative that gave the flexibility and simplicity that we wanted. Today there might be choices.

I still like that the version is managed by the scm, and the simple version number customization. For some developers the plugin is just some code to get started with their own custom release plugin. (i.e. handling AndroidManifest.xml version numbers.)
