Yes, that does look like something that would be useful. Unfortunately, we've passed the cut-off point for adding new characters for v2.1.0 of the math font, so this will need to wait until the next round of updates.
I have drafted the following arrow characters for addition in v2.20. These are still not all the arrows in Unicode—so many!—but are ones that are relatively easily made, are solid-headed variants of existing arrows in the STIX Two Math font, or are not super-specific to some non-math purpose (so, e.g. no arrows used in Lithuanian dialectology).

If this is the place for it, one more arrow like \Leftrightarrow, but called \leftrightwhitearrow, to complete the family of \leftwhitearrow, \rightwhitearrow, would be nice.
The whitearrows show better than the old arrows because there's no narrow part in the arrow head.
