In Word 2010 on Windows 7 (64-bit), as soon as I type anything in Stix font inside a math field, Word crashes.

Xits font, on the other hand, works fine.

During the beta period for 1.1.0 there were reports of crashes in a Windows XP environment that we were unable to reproduce. We've also had reports during beta that the font does not display at all in Windows XP. Since the release of 1.1.0 we've learned that both of these problems are present in a Windows 7 environment and we're investigating the cause. It would be helpful to know if you are able to use STIX as a text font in your Word environment.

Using STIX as a text font does not cause Word to crash, but the characters do not appear on the screen.

We just released v1.1.1 of STIX-Word which addresses the reported issues. The zip bundle to download is STIX-v1.1.1-word.zip.
