Fixes #173

I don't think I can create a new branch on this repo, so @stlehmann you'll need to create a branch at the current tip.

I used the ancient branch testserver_ex and updated it to the current master. This branch now contains the current work state of the testserver_ex package.

I just changed the base to the dev branch so we can see the result before merging into master.
