stm32duino.com - impossible to read or login (Cookie Acceptance Required - no way to accept) #85

This probably isn't the best place to ask, but I don't know how else to ask it. I'm unable to login to stm32duino.com, search or even read a page as a guest. All I get is a notice that says "Cookie Acceptance Required", but I see no way to accept cookies, despite disabling all forms of blocking and tracking protection.

This also meant I couldn't use the Contact link, at the bottom of the login page, to ask you about it.

This is what it says when I try to login:

Cookie Acceptance Required

You must accept the Cookie Policy of Arduino for STM32 before you can either register on this site or, if you are already registered, before you can login to the site.

This is what it says, in a dialog box, when I click any link on the site, including "Contact us"

You cannot access links on this board until you have accepted the Cookie Policy.

Is the forum dead? If so, a notice saying so would be helpful, but I see there is still a link to it near the top of the github page here:

Hi @Andy2No Try to start from the main page. You should have a banner which request to accept. Maybe clean up your cache.

Hi @fpistm

I've now tried that. I notice if I refresh the main page, I see a brief flicker as something overlays the top one or two lines of the page, which may well be an acceptance banner. Unfortunately, it doesn't even stay visible long enough to read it, let alone click on it.

I'm using FireFox ESR, which us fully up to date. It seems to me, I shouldn't have any problems using such a popular browser. and I have been able to use the site in the past, though I hadn't tried recently.

I used also Firefox and had no issue. Same on Chrome. There is no recent update of the forum. I don't know why the banner doesn't stay visible, I never had this behavior.

I figured it out in the end. It was being blocked by the Ghostery plugin, which showed 0 things being blocked, for the site. I thought I'd whitelisted it, but it seems I was wrong. The user interface of the plugin has apparently changed since I last had any reason to look at it. Sorry to bother you.

I could post advice on the forum to whitelist in Ghostery, but anyone who needs the information wouldn't be able to see it.

Fine. Thanks for the feedback.
