Distributing relevant literature #1

There are tons of PDFs of relevant literature. I have saved many of these in my personal files in case the links go dead, but probably for the majority of it I'm still just pasting URLs throughout my haphazardly organized personal notes. It would be a shame to lose any of these resources due to links going offline or even just forgetting the keywords needed to re-google the PDFs, for example it took me quite a while to re-locate "Towards a Conceptual Structure Based on Type theory" by Richard Dapoigny and Patrick Barlatier (aka "p63").

I would like to save and ideally rehost all these relevant resources, but I have many questions as to what is an appropriate way to go about doing this: legally, technically, organizationally, ... Last time I tried to save all my PDFs in a git repo and publish them on GitHub I had many people expressing concern for the legal implications, so I just stopped doing it. Now much later I'm having exactly the issues I was originally hoping to prevent.

Any thoughts on the issue would be appreciated
