Disabling the on-screen keyboard #112

The on-screen keyboard pops up whenever I touch the screen, which is kinda unnecessary for a device that has a hardware keyboard.

Disabling it is easy, just remove caribou-autostart.desktop from /etc/xdg/autostart I wouldn't mind uninstalling it, however GNOME seems to freak out if you do so.

Maybe adding a line to back up and delete the .desktop to update.sh would be the best idea, what do you think?

EDIT: Seems like removing the .desktop isn't good enough, it still pops up from time to time

I personally just use a GNOME extension to disable it as opposed to uninstalling it.

@nickelby Installed it now as well, works great. Would still be great to have a permanent, automated fix
