Hold: add a "monthly" plot option #9

Displaying daily graphs for long periods of time (years) is sometimes overwhelming and unnecessary. Add an option to display the monthly points.

Another way to reduce the number of points is to request the number of total X points in the plots; the experiment will then calculate the resample rate.

In practice, removing the "dots" on the lines removed the clutter, and the graphs again look decent. So this is a low priority.
