Question: Is there a list of SSO Friendly sites? #63

This repo/site does a fantastic job of calling out the Cooperates that overcharge for a basic digital need. Is there such a thing as a list of companies that actively support good security posture, and provide SSO with little or no extra costs?

Ah good question @arcticShadow I was thinking about that recently as well.

While we note those who have the tax, we do not (yet!) suggest alternatives. And so while I'm not aware of an existing 'best-practice supporters of SSO' list, I'd love to start one. I'll see about expanding the repo to have that.

Do you have some initial entries in mind? I've come across a few that I can start the list with.

To keep this issue focused, I'll define the completion criteria here (if it works for you) as:

  1. Add a section for no-tax SSO vendors
  2. Add a few examples of vendors who qualify

That would be fantastic! I wasn't intending on creating extra work though. I wouldn't mind helping out with contributions, however I don't have any examples of favourable companies to add.

Thinking aloud, instead of a separate list, what if the current list could be sorted by % change, and possibly a secondary filter on a service category? Actually the more I think on that it doesn't seem like a great idea. It fundamentally changes the premise this list aims to promote

As a quick hack, how about generating a quick Google search URL for each row with the name of the vendor + "alternatives"?

Example: https://www.google.com/search?q=airtable+alternatives
