The following product identifiers can be added to the sc_product_id_types table:

ASIN - Amazon Standard Identification Number
GTIN - Global Trade Item Number
GTIN8 - GTIN-8 (EAN / UCC-8)
GTIN12 - GTIN-12 (UPC)
GTIN13 - GTIN-13 (EAN / UCC-13)
GTIN14 - GTIN-14 (GS1-128 / ITF-14)
ISBN - International Standard Book Number
ISSN - International Standard Serial Number
NSN - NATO Stock Number
SKU - Stock Keeping Unit
S/N - Serial Number

With these additions, the product ID structure contains possible duplicates, that should be handled by business logic when accessing the data table:

The GTIN (Global Trade Item Number) is a generalization of the GTIN8, GTIN12,GTIN13, and GTIN8.
The existing EAN (International Article Number) is either a GTIN8 or a GTIN13.
An ISBN (International Standard Book Number) is a special case of an EAN and therefore a GTIN13 .
