Issues with PouchDB & TypeScript / Ionic

I just happened to stumble on these, which seem to stem from some difficulties with TypeScript:

• https://stackoverflow.com/questions/51283686/pouchdb-and-cordova-sqlcipher-adapter-on-ionic-is-it-possible - this is really an issue with TypeScript & @types/pouchdb. It would be ideal to just add key as an optional parameter, but they may not want it.
• https://forum.ionicframework.com/t/how-to-use-sqlcipher-in-ionic-project/112676/14 - Q&A how they were able to get around a couple of problems, biggest one was in the window.sqlitePlugin openDatabase call
