Based on this topic: ticket ID 257849

It would be nice to be able to assign tags to members to the members that get added from our plugin.

Just adding in the MC dev guide around this here too: https://mailchimp.com/developer/guides/how-to-use-tags/

Adding the functionality to incorporate Mailchimp tags into the Mailchimp Add-On would be hugely helpful! Is this something that you plan to do?

A customer (ticket ID 322354 moderators only) requested this:

I am trying to create Mailchimp Customer Journeys for my members when they first join my website. Ideally, I want to “tag” these groups (Mailchimp uses tags in their customer journeys) so they would all be added to a single Mailchimp audience but have different tags. Can you help me achieve what I want to do please?

I just installed the Mailchimp plugin and on one of my audiences I have two segments depending on language, so I was wondering if there was a way for the member to select between the 2 segments of my audience during their checkout process. Thanks a lot.

Sending through a custom field to Mailchimp can be done by using this code recipe.

We are using PMP Mailchimp Integration addon to add members in our Mailchimp Account and it is working fine. We also manged to add extra fields by using hooks: pmpro_mailchimp_listsubscribe_fields, pmpro_mailchimp_merge_fields. But we didn’t find a hook/function to add tags. We want to add some mailchimp tags to membership.

A customer (ticket ID 418365 moderators only) requested this:

I have my membership site with three different memberships.

Free Access More Access VIP Access

I want all members to be added to Mailchimp to capture their email, but I only want the More Access and VIP Access members to be tagged or added to a specific list that I will send out newsletters to (the Free won’t get the newsletters).

We then use mailchimp’s tags to choose who we email. However, we currently can’t add a tag in mailchimp for those who have subscribed to our event (i.e those who have accessed the add-on page)

For now we recommend using Segments in Mailchimp that are dynamically updated based on merge fields for list subscribers.

Going this route, you will maintain (and pay for) a single list in your Mailchimp account. You can assign all members to the same list. Then, create a segment for each "group" that automatically updates based on the merge field for their level ID.

See this guide for detailed information: https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/create-segment-mailchimp-specific-membership-level/

A customer (ticket ID 455986 moderators only) asked about this:

I connected Mailchimp to PMP, but I see that what happens is only a registration to the mailchimp list. it’s not possible to add tags to new members and trasnfer the tag to the mailchimp audience. Is there a solution for this?

A customer (ticket 319932) asked about this:

I have added some new courses to my site as well as corresponding tabs in my Mailchimp account, so I can emaill members of the new courses with those tags. The problem is the PM-Pro Mailchimp plug-in does not show the new tags as options to check. Could you please let me know how to update the tag list?
