This seems to be an interesting tutorial to build.

I can think of building a React native voice recorder application whose data is powered by Strapi. More like a simplified version of Clubhouse.

Does this make any sense and would you like me to create an article outline on this?

Hey @vickywane Yes, is there a chance that you can use Next.js in the application? if yes, would you be able to create an outline for this topic?

@ShadaW11 Is there a hard requirement on using Next.js?

If not, i would prefer to use React Native and build it as a mobile application.

1. There are only a few tutorials on mobile applications using Strapi, and there are alot on Next.js

2. Also, i would also like to use the native audio recording APIs available in React Native applications.

Lastly, yes, i can create an outline for this topic today when we agree on the technologies to use.

Thank you for the clarification. Makes sense. There is no hard requirement on using Next.js for this specific tutorial but rather a general requirement to produce more nextjs content. However, please go ahead and send me an outline with react and we can move forward from there.

Goal

The author’s goal of writing this article is to demonstrate how Strapi can be used as the data source of a voice recorder application. This article would demonstrate the following items;

• How file uploads involving Mutation operation against the connected GraphQL API can be performed.

• How Strapi content types can be molded for a voice application.

• How React Native’s audio recorder API can be used for voice recording.

Outline

• Quick introduction to Strapi and React Native
• Using the Strapi Content-Type builder to model the content types for a Strapi Backend application
• Bootstrapping a React Native application using Expo and building the application’s interface.
• Connecting react native application to Strapi GraphQL endpoint
• Using expo-av library to record a user’s audio
• Uploading recorded audio files in a GraphQL mutation operation.
