Android notification bar and clock randomly disappear #1671

This happens randomly when opening Notesnook app on Android. It only happens if you use light mode.

Android notification tray (clock, notification icons, battery/network icons...)

Notesnook version: 2.4.0 from OzzyOnDroid repo Device: Pixel 6 with GrapheneOS (latest January patch)

Device information: App version: 2.4.0 Platform: android Model: google-Pixel 6-33 Pro: false Logged in: yes

Tapped submit by mistake before finishing.

With light mode, it seems like android notification bar text and icons turn white instead of dark. Now you have white text on white background so you can't see it. You can verify this by opening hamburger menu and now right half of notification bar is visible on darker background.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Set light theme and reopen app to apply
  2. Close app (go to recent apps overview and swipe it away)
  3. Open app again
  4. This seems to happen randomly, so try closing and reopening app multiple times.

I reinstalled app but the issue still persists.

@Toaster690 are you still experiencing this issue?

Yes, it still happens on 2.5.6 (on both play store and fdroid releases). What seems weird to me is that immediately after opening, notification bar is black (as it should be) but then fades to white in a second. If I then go to home or recents screen and return back to app (without closing), notification bar reappears.
