I have just installed this app excited to finally see a note taking app that can auto-lock itself but unfortunately I've encountered a serious issue. Long story short my iphone fell into water many months ago which rendered the front IR camera useless so I've been living without Face ID ever since (I do have a regular passcode set up though). When I opened this app right at the beginning I was greeted with a banner displaying something like 'Biometrics not detected, please enable them in settings' and even though I do have a password protected phone Notesnook wouldn't let me use this password instead of biometrics,.. normal app behaviour is that when I attempt to lock a specific app (e.g. Firefox Focus, Signal etc.) they use the device's passcode instead of biometrics(which in my case aren't available) or have a completely unique passphrase or PIN set for unlocking (e.g. Bitwarden, Standard Notes etc.) …If this issue was ever resolved I will gladly jump right back into Notesnook but for now the app is not a worthy replacement of iCloud's Advanced Data Protection E2EE locked Apple Notes, but that is simply just because Notesnook can't be locked on my device and I'm guessing I might not be the only one facing this issue.
