Looks like the AppImage binary doesn't have any icon.
On my main system using AwesomeWM (Xorg), Notesnook icon doesn't appear at all:
This is even worse when using programs icons in taglist, the Notesnook icon isn't displayed either despite the program being opened in a tag. This is confusing, one can think that Notesnook isn't running while it is.
With a Kubuntu 22.04 (Xorg) virtual machine:

With Papirus Icon Theme and manually created .desktop entry (the icon from the icon theme appears correctly in Plasma tasklist but there is no icon for the AppImage itself):
