Actually if this is just strictly numbers, then the whole input maybe not needed ? The screen can just only have the numpad and the user can just enter the pin, Telegram for example

Just numbers with built-in randomizer button (and remember last choice function).

Once entered last digit, no need to push any "OK" button. It automatically goes straight.

After "x" failed attempts the app could erase the local database or doing other protective actions.

Optionally you can adding even an alternative pin to have the "duress mode".
