Hi there, here's the package-info.json file needed for the newer version of the Max Package Downloader, can you please fill in the missing info ? (i.e. version) Thanks !!

I'm not really sure what to do with the version information, but that may be because I don't know what the ramifications are. I use github for a variety of reasons, but one of the most important is it relieves me of having to make a 'release.' I can just sync github and everything is up to date.

Now, maybe at some point we will need to follow a formalized release protocol and have a version number associated, but for right now there is no versioning for Beap. Am I right in understanding that Beap will not appear to be updated to the Max Package downloader unless the version number is updated?

Yes that's exact. If you don't want to work with versions I guess you could just put "None" instead of a version number… The version number is there so people can know if there's an update. You could also do something really simple and just increment the number when you commit something. No need to do fancy version numbering like 2.12 and such…

In any case it'll also work without a version number, that's up to you !

Ah I just had an idea, you could just put "Master from GitHub" as the version this way people know they are downloading the latest release from github. for the major and minor values you can just put 0.

Thanks a lot ! Will look nicer in the Package Downloader with the description and author info !!
