Passkeys support landed in Firefox 122.0 beta

Hi, according to https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/122.0beta/releasenotes/

Firefox now supports creating and using passkeys stored in the iCloud Keychain on macOS.
Firefox now recognizes the "webauthn" autocomplete token and will suggest passkeys in form autofill dialogs.

I've tried Firefox 122.0 beta with latest Strongbox Pro app + latest Strongbox AutoFill extension and went to https://webauthn.io/ for testing.

• I enter my username and hit "Register"

• Dialog box with Strongbox was initiated but when I wanted to save passkey the dialog box stuck with "Unlocking" message forever.

I dont' know if it's an issue with Strongbox app or extension or maybe with Firefox implemenation. Just wanted to share :blush:

HI @emikaadeo-git - Yes, we saw this support and tested it and it looks good from our side. There does appear to be a delay/block at some point in the Passkey registration process for some users in some configurations. Particularly the first time the feature is used. This is unrelated to Firefox/Chrome or Safari we believe. It is probably something to do with Strongbox/System passkey infrastructure.

Usually this is fixed by trying again. Is this something you can reproduce regularly, say after a restart? If so, would you be able to share your debug info/screen recording? You can send to support@strongboxsafe.com

I believe this is now fixed in 1.58.38. But please let me know if that's not the case.

Partially, yes. It doesn't work if I try to register passkey before I unlock my database (manually or by Firefox extension) Then I still get stuck with "Unlocking" message.

That doesn't sound right, this is 100% with 1.58.38 and after a device restart?

Yes, 1.58.38 and after a device restart. Database Settings -> AutoFill -> Convenience Auto Unlock Timeout set to Disabled Convenience unlock promt is not there anymore but the issue remains.
