git url in package.json should be https://github.com/strongloop-forks/strong-fork-syslog.git but is right now an SSH url

This repo is deprecated - the module doesn't work on node-4. The only uses of it are in older versions of strong-pm that is a to-be-removed dependency of strong-arc.
