Hi!

I don't agree with you on this. I like tabs more in this case because the resulting file is smaller than with spaces, and this file is read every time GUI loads, so the size matters here. The other thing tabs on left side are good here is because there's a sense of context, e.g. File main menu entry -> its submenu - and I think it's logical. Tabs are just cheap improvement of text readability in this case, while spaces are "expensive".

I use spaces in help.txt file, yes, but it's the requirement there - tabs just won't work reliably in that case.

I beleieve that the sizie save is not so important with currebt hardware/sofwtare condition (iour pc are not mainframw with 1MB of RAM).

The use of spaces instad tabs help a lot the reading and editing of language files.

The nuimber of strings are soe asy that for me is non sense to catalogue the position of menu using tabs.

I understand your point, but we have to think of end users first. The patch doesn't improve anything for them, it makes GUI startup somewhat slower for them. And the patch doesn't help me maintain the project either.

Hardware is very fast, I agree. That's why there is so much SLOW software. fmedia isn't in that camp and it will never be there.
