Yeah, we noticed that relatively early. I think @TCLamnidis had some opinions on why we still need this. Can't remember. I have a love-hate relationship with conda... I'm not sure I want to keep using that for workshops and stuff. I don't think I'll touch this bit. My plan is to consolidate most of what's here into a more self-contained set of course material.
