Suggestion: Controller v4.6 Add pull up resistor to U1 #155

Since the level converter U1 is so very tiny and can be a challenge to solder, may I suggest a pull up resistor is added to pin 6 instead of a direct connection to 3V3. As it stands a tiny blob of solder between pins 6 and 7 could zap all the 3.3V components on the board. Also a footprint with longer pads would help get it successfully soldered.

The converter U1 small? It's Humongous! No offense intended (really)

After manually soldering the thermistors in the cell boards, I find the U1 HUGE!

What helps a LOT is the use of soldering paste, what can be positioned with a pin or needle, and with tweezers place the parts where they should.

I used 180c soldering paste, and did my oven at 190.

This worked wonders!!!

With a soldering iron the thermistors where almost impossible.

Good luck!
