@steeverc - YES, it's possible to share Prompt Buddy with users outside your team. It requires going into sharing options for your Power App and providing non-team members with access to submit prompts. I'm sharing the solution to share this wide across your organization or with users outside the team where your Prompt Buddy is installed 👍
As a Teams Administrator - You can share Prompt Buddy as a Teams app to all or selected employees. (This involves basic understanding of Teams Admin center, to share apps to people)
See these images of where to get the Teams App for Prompt Buddy:
"What is a Broad distribution app?"
Explained easy here:
Step 0. You can now share Dataverse for Teams apps beyond a team - Microsoft Power Platform Blog
Practical:
You need to share permissions to Prompt Buddy tables with users in a Security or M365 group so they can submit prompts.
Step 1. Set permission to "Full Access". Step-by-step here: Set permission and share your app using Power Apps in Teams - Power Apps | Microsoft Learn
Makes sure the group you're sharing with gets full access to the tables. You provide the full access one by one:
Campaign Category Employee Idea Employee Idea Campaign Employee Idea Campaign Link Employee Idea File Employee Idea Image Employee Idea Question Employee Idea Response Employee Idea Settings Employee Ideas User Setting Prompt Approver Prompt Comment [New column since Prompt Buddy version 1.5.0.0 - October 2024]
It's required so users can submit prompts and comments [new feature].
I've installed PB in a Team, no issues. Now I'd like to 'share' it to another Team. The problem is I do not want two repositories for the prompts, I'd like them to show and share the same data. Is this possible? Thank you!
