A request from a rgeocdl issue: dataset metadata should indicate what individual years are available in the case of sparse years within the date range.
An example for sparse yearly is NLCD (#86). We have a sparse daily dataset already (MODIS_NDVI) but we only return the temporal range for that case (that would be a lot of dates to return!).
At a minimum, we could have an indicator if all years are present, if its an even step (e.g. every 5 years or 8 days), or irregular (e.g. NLCD)?
