The ability to do straight arrows in addition to curved arrows for flows #6

Sometimes the curved arrows interfere with each other and add to visual complexity. If we can only have one type of arrow then we want curved arrows, but have the option to switch to a straight arrow for flows would be nice.

This is moderately difficult; no change to the data structure is required, but it will definitely require some time. I would say October 1st is unrealistic.
