2 years ago We just got a boat motor, and also your arguments don't really make sense to me:
- Only some massive ships lag, and even then, it's mostly because of the props inside of the ship and their constant movement.
- There aren't really any bugs you can encounter, the only thing that could happen (as far as I know), is if you make one using fixed cable, Unity can freak out and kinda ruin it - but if you use Steel bindings for example, everything should be fine.
- And they may be ugly but that's either because you think your own boats are ugly, or if the creator of a ship didn't care about how they look and just cared how it works. It's also now possible to make "prettier" boats if paired with (modded/colored) wires and/or map blocks.

Feature description Boats that work like vehicles but in water. New spawnable. If put in water you can turn the motor on and it'll start moving.
Feature purpose It would be good to have official boats. Boat/ship contraptions are laggy, buggy and just ugly. It allows you to move people/items on water. It exists as contraptions but as I said earlier it's not good.
Additional context A small boat would be enough, something like this
