variable resistor #3100

Feature description

an object that only allows a amount of electricity specified in the right click menu through

Feature purpose

would be wonderful for vehicle and weapon contraptions allowing for adjustable power/speed since in 1.27 two generators do just as much as 1 now.

a variable resistor already exists, although instead of right clicking its resistance is controlled by a lever on the top. if you want to control it using your keyboard you can attach the lever to a piston, winch or rotor and control those instead. it would be cool to have a resistor with a menu option but that would not be able to interact with the environment, so maybe it would make more sense to have a battery/generator with a menu option to control how much electricity it generates, rather than a new resistor.
