Feature request: Speedometer or just a speed indicator in general

Feature description A Box that displays its own velocity in m/s, so it can be attached to contraptions like cars, planes and rockets to keep track of their speed.

Feature purpose It's nice to know how fast you were going when you turn into mush because you smashed into a wall

So, will you have to look at it or will it be a UI popup? If you aren't following can you tell the speed of the vehicle?

Actually, that's a good question too! I was originally thinking something like the thermometer which you point at something and it tells you the temperature on its display, except with the speedometer it would be that it always tells its own speed and you could attach it to your contraption to in return be able to read the speed of the contraption.

However another idea would be having a right-click menu option (similar to the "inspect" option for living things) that pops up a UI element that tells you its velocity, as well as maybe coordinates for completion's sake.

What about one that measures its own speed and another that measures the speed of the object it is pointed at?

I can also see some sort of contraption or feature with the speedometer that sends an activation signal at a certain speed
