Not importing image into background view #3

Running OSX, blender 2.66a.

BLAM isn't importing the background image into 3d view on calibration of the camera. Not sure why.

If I recall correctly, the 3D view has to be visible when performing the camera calibration in order for the background image to be set. This seems to be an Blender limitation.
