My most favourite solution would be an option in the blender add-on
create renderable image
.
I'm using the addon "Import images as planes", which makes the import very easy.
Another thought is to display image scale factor and coordinates in fspy app, so they could be copied to blender manually.
I think the standard way is to use the compositor to blend the background image and a rendered image together.
This might help https://www.blenderguru.com/tutorials/render-onto-photo-background (haven't watched the whole thing though)
Yes, I watched this video several times, but I couldnt come to the point.
Your tool would be great for precise photomontage, if I'd know the precise image size, position and orientation.
Tell me, if I missed a crucial point on the way, but till now I do know how to place a background image correctly. The addon "Import images as planes" makes it easy to import a renderable image - but how shall I position it.
Great app - my congrats! But: How can I make blender to render the background image? - is there a simple trick? Or do I have to import the background image again? - If so, how do I find correct position and size, as I cannot get hold really of an image in blender, just of a camera. I couldnt find useful info in blender tutorials as well, so I'd be very grateful for some hints.
