USB Joystick #5

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Boot GroovyArcade
2. When gamelist is up, launch a game
3. Up and Left usb joystick (1) inputs/buttons do not work

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
All usb joystick (1) inputs/buttons should work

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
GroovyArcade-Arch2013.02.24-x86_64

Please provide any additional information below.
I am using a PC (MAME) / PS3 to Arcade Controller USB Interface PCB Kit from 
Jamma Boards

This joystick set up works fine under ubuntu, using QMC2 and SDLMAME.
The joystick is read as: TTT THT Arcade console 2P USB Player
