This is all a pretty great start. Thanks for putting the work into this.

My usual workflow for features like this is to accept the pull requests basically as is, and then comb through them. I think this is more effective than back-and-forthing code reviews, unless you'd rather have the feedback & process.

Any preference @14nd90?

Nope go ahead, I don't really have any time at the mo to contribute further/keep up to date with this I'm afraid so please do whatever's best for you. And apologies for mismatch of tabs/spacing differences in the PR which seems to have thrown Github!
