I know, it's weird, but it failed on both of my test installations, and it looks like some others are seeing the same thing: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/the-plugin-does-not-have-a-valid-header-100
Could there be a gremlin character or weird line ending there in this case? Inquiring minds want to know.
WordPress complains that “The plugin does not have a valid header” if there’s a space between the opening php tag and the comment block containing the plugin’s info. Fussy little buddy!
