Hello there:

seeing as PaleMoon has recently upgraded the code for the latest version (31) your add-on no longer functions.

I use this add-on, is there an upgrade in the works for version 31?

thx

Hi @55trucker,

Can you be more specific about the issues that you're encountering? I've upgraded to PM31 also and the features I use (except for Issue #2) all seem to work fine for me. If possible, please also list the add-ons that you're using. It's possible one or more of them may now interfere with TUP's operation.

Thanks, -stux

Hi there: The latest version of Pale Moon is 31, up until a few days ago I was using 29.4.6, your program runs on 29.4.6 but it doesn't run on 31. If one tries to load it the browser responds with this addon is not compatible with this browser version. so as it is right now I've gone back to 29.4.6. I like the program as it stops the browsers default action of automatically switching from tab to tab when the cursor is hovered over a tab when multiple tabs are open.

Outside of your tab program 2.1.0 the only other addon is my Theme for Pale Moon, I make use of Noia Moon.

Ah, shoot, my apologies @55trucker: the problem lies in the install.rdf file not being updated to work on newer versions of Pale Moon. I had fixed that for version 2.1.1 (which I am currently using) but the last time I tried to update the code on github I got a message saying that I needed to perform some steps so that github would let me authenticate via the command line. I put that on my TODO list and then forgot about it :(.

I also had to turn off some settings in PM that forbade certain add-ons from being installed. It's possible that setting might be allowing me to install the add-on since the maxVersion for TUP 2.1.1 is only set to "28.*". I also haven't updated the version in the PM add-ons site either.

In all, I have several things to test and figure out before getting this back into working order. It will take me several days to figure out, possibly a couple of weeks (but hopefully not too long). In the meantime, setting the "MaxVersion" in the install.rdf file to "31.*" might allow you to get the add-on to work for you (if you're comfortable doing that).

Thank you very much for bringing this to my attention. I'll try to update my progress on this ticket as I learn more.

Oh, no problem, I'm not in a hurry..........., the current browser runs just fine, I'm not one to rush out & get the next newest release when it comes down the pike

Ah, crap, blink and it's 2023! My apologies @55trucker , I neglected to follow-up on this issue as I had intended. I still haven't resolved the github upgrade issue, so I'll have to update the add-on via the PM Add-ons site. This is especially true now that the 32.0 line has been released.

I'm still very confused as to how you're getting a compatibility error. Even with version 2.1.0 I have some testing profiles that use it with no complaints. Then again, it could be my less-strict add-on restriction settings. I'd have to test that. Anywho, I'll make updating the add-on via the website a priority and check back to see if you're still encountering the issue.

Thanks for your patience!

Hi @55trucker, I have updated TUP on the PM Add-ons site to show compatibility with PM 32. Please test again when you have an opportunity.
