upas/marshal attach header #113

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

it would be nice if upas/marshal would implement acme mails
Attach: pseudo headers to allow attachments as an alternative
to specifying them on the command line.

Should these changes properly be made against nupas, if we still want that in
the tree instead of the old upas?

maybe? but i'm not using nupas nor is it in 9front.
did nupas change marshal as well? i thought it
mainly improved upas/fs to use a index to not
having to load all mails into memory...

I hadn't diffed them until just now. It looks like nupas' marshal adds support
for bcc, some changes to pgp interaction, and a few other changes I didn't
immediately understand. Nupas' upas/fs definitely works better (read: much,
much faster) with gmail's imap, but also crashes every couple of days.

There are some further changes in nupas that cause it to behave differently in
ways I don't understand. I've stopped using it.

It looks like some headers in the body of the message are already supported. I
haven't experimented with this yet but I'm willing to try.

Revision 2ba97c7c913b adds support for attach: and inline: in the message body.
