The system currently allows linking events to Private states. However, this doesn't make a whole lot of sense, as events are always public. Furthermore, doing this causes the frontend to misbehave silently, as it cannot fetch the linked state's details when the user is unauthorized.
I suggest disabling the possibility of linking Private states to events altogether.
