Hey Jason,

It was great to meet you at Boston devops. I took this gem for a test-drive and noticed some errors in the documentation examples when I tried to run them.

Docs are updated for the issue.

Excuse me, I had hoped to isolate my change to the readme on a separate branch, but pulled in the rest of the work from master. I'll put it all together.
