When I'm working on an OS I'd like apps to behave as close to native soluitions as possible. One way to provide this is to keep file chooser as in the rest of the OS. Why? Because I have Quick access folders (and remote computers) set there, I have well-known UI and other features that I'm just used to use.

Keep OS native window on file choose operations, like selecting private key file, just like this one:
